From The Hypersomnia Foundation: Latest Update on 2018 HF Conference (June 2-3) in Baltimore (#BeyondSleepy)

Curator’s Note: I attended this event last year in Boston and it was absolutely worth it! If you suffer from any form of hypersomnia or care for someone who does, you’ll not want to miss this event. The conference is open to patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

From the Hypersomnia Foundation website:

“Plans are well underway for the 2018 Hypersomnia Foundation conference, which will be held on June 2-3 at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront hotel. The conference festivities will start on Friday evening (June 1) with a casual meet-and-greet event at the James Joyce Pub, which is right around the corner from the hotel. Appetizers will be provided, and there will be a cash bar. Come and meet your fellow conference attendees on Friday evening between 5-7 p.m.! And then, on Saturday morning, the conference begins. After a continental breakfast at 8 a.m., our speakers will take the podium, beginning with Dr. David B. Rye of Emory University.

Other speakers who have already committed to the conference so far include:

  • Dr. Lynn Marie Trotti of Emory University
  • Dr. Thanh Dang-Vu of Concordia University (Montreal) and the University of Montreal
  • Austin Letcher, MS, of the Coordination of Rare Diseases at Sanford (CoRDS)
  • Dr. Isabelle Arnulf of the Sorbonne Universités
  • Dr. Kiran Maski of Harvard Medical School
  • Dr. Dale Edgar of Novion Pharmaceuticals

By the time the conference ends at noon on Sunday, you will be up-to-date on the most current research into IH (idiopathic hypersomnia), the latest IH treatments, and how other people with IH are coping with daily life.”

REGISTRATION PRICES: $75 by May 11, 2018; $99 after May 11, 2018.
