Wellness Wednesday: Sleep can be challenging for people with cancer

Good sleep can greatly assist people with cancer during the hardest segments of their treatment.

Chronotherapy is a known approach that helps people with cancer maximize their encounters with treatments based on circadian biology.

Getting adequate sleep is a challenge for people with cancer. Treatments for cancer can lead to intense daytime fatigue, which can lead to problems with insomnia at night if naps are taken throughout the day. Also, a well-controlled sleep-wake pattern is necessary for the circadian system to assist in chronotherapeutic approaches.
